Delivering a lecture on leadership and infrastructure development, Wike said the government has shown determination in tackling major national issues and funding key projects.

He noted that infrastructure remains a major tool for economic growth and social progress, adding that roads, rail networks, power supply and housing play vital roles in national development.

The minister pointed to projects such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, the Sokoto-Badagry Super Highway, the Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano Road and the East-West Road as evidence of the administration’s focus on development.

He also referenced railway rehabilitation, power sector reforms, rural electrification programmes and investments in education and broadband expansion.

Wike said the removal of fuel subsidy created more resources for governments to fund development projects.

He urged Nigerians to support ongoing reforms, arguing that sustained commitment and continuity are necessary to achieve lasting economic growth and improve living standards across the country.
