APC governors have restated their full support for President Bola Tinubu’s push to confront insecurity across the country.

The pledge came from Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, who leads the Progressive Governors’ Forum, during a visit to Kebbi State on Friday.

The governors said they were in Kebbi to stand with the president and show a united front as the federal government steps up its security plans. They noted that restoring peace is a shared duty that requires strong cooperation between national and state authorities.

Uzodimma acknowledged the work of security personnel who continue to face threats while protecting communities. He welcomed the renewed focus on intelligence-driven operations, quicker response systems, and closer ties between security agencies and citizens.
He stressed that lasting peace goes beyond military action and must include long-term social and economic plans to address the roots of violence. According to him, both approaches are needed to make communities safer.
The governor assured that the APC governors would continue to support federal policies and ensure they are carried out effectively at the grassroots. He said the aim is to make sure successes recorded in one state can be repeated across the country.
