Former Nigerian Law School Director-General, Professor Isa Hayatu Chiroma (SAN), said teaching anti-corruption from the early stage of legal education would help future lawyers see the fight against corruption as both a legal duty and a moral responsibility.

He said the draft would undergo expert review before any adoption.
Experts at the workshop said the subject could either stand alone or be merged into existing courses such as Criminal Law and the Law of Evidence.
They added that the curriculum should equip students with the knowledge, skills and ethical values expected of legal practitioners.
Participants agreed that the reform would strengthen ethical standards in the legal profession over time.
The workshop resolved to prepare a detailed draft for further review and wider consultations before possible adoption by the Nigerian Law School.
