Minister of Education, Tunji Alausa, announced this on Thursday at the maiden convocation of Miva Open University in Lagos.

LIST OF APPLICATIONS FOR REGULARISATION OF AREA COUNCIL LAND DOCUMENTS NULLIFIED/CANCELLED BY THE HONOURABLE MINISTER OF FCT

He said the changes were aimed at restoring confidence in public examinations.

According to the minister, the government introduced computer-based testing and a hybrid examination system to tackle malpractice.

He said these measures had wiped out the long-standing problem of leaked examination papers and greatly reduced cheating during national examinations.

Alausa recalled that leaked WAEC questions had become a regular challenge in previous years, forcing education officials to verify reports before examinations were held.

He said the situation had pushed many students into dishonest practices, even when they wanted to write their papers fairly.

He added that the reforms are part of the Nigeria Education Sector Renewal Initiative under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

The government is also reviewing the school curriculum, expanding technical education, improving student accommodation and investing in digital learning to strengthen education across the country.
