Tinubu Promises Safe Rescue of Abducted Oyo Pupils

President Bola Tinubu has assured residents of Oyo State that teachers and pupils kidnapped from three primary schools in Oriire Local Government Area will return safely.

He gave the assurance on Thursday during the inauguration of the remodelled Premier Hotel in Ibadan, where he was represented by Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
The President said the Federal Government was using every available strategy, including support from international partners, to secure the release of the victims and tackle rising insecurity.
He also urged Nigerians to remain alert and support security agencies by sharing useful information.
Tinubu said peace and security remain key to economic growth, adding that his administration has improved intelligence gathering, strengthened cooperation among security agencies, expanded surveillance technology and increased support for the armed forces.
He added that plans to improve policing across the country were also progressing in the National Assembly.
He also said the Federal Government is rebuilding the economy through better infrastructure, tourism and regional development.
While urging investors to take advantage of growing opportunities in Nigeria, he praised the restoration of Premier Hotel and encouraged South-West leaders to protect the lasting achievements of the region’s founding fathers.
