NYSC Shifts Orientation Dates For Two States
The National Youth Service Corps has adjusted its orientation timetable for 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II in Enugu and Osun.
The update was announced on Monday through its spokesperson, Caroline Embu.
The change affects only corps members posted to the two states, while others will proceed as earlier planned.
The orientation course in Enugu and Osun will now begin on April 28 and run until May 18, 2026.
The scheme said the shift became necessary due to ongoing renovation work at the camps by the state governments.
It added that the adjustment would allow for better preparation of facilities ahead of the exercise.
For other states and the Federal Capital Territory, the schedule remains unchanged, with activities set to start on April 22 and end on May 12.
The NYSC urged affected corps members to take note of the revised dates and follow the new timeline.
The development follows the recent release of call-up letters for prospective corps members.
Many candidates had earlier reported difficulty accessing the portal due to heavy traffic as they tried to check their deployment details.
