Otti Boosts Education Funding
Abia State Governor Alex Otti has dedicated 20 percent of the state’s annual budget to education for three consecutive years, channeling the funds into major reforms across the sector.
The investment has enabled the state government to recruit more than 9,000 teachers, clear outstanding salary arrears owed to education workers and begin the construction of modern school facilities.
Officials say the initiative is part of a broader plan to strengthen public education and ensure that children across the state have access to improved learning environments.
