Reps Promise Stronger Child Protection Laws

The House of Representatives has pledged stronger laws to protect children in Nigeria as the country marked the 2026 Children’s Day.

The commitment was made on May 27, 2026, through a statement by its spokesman Akin Rotimi. Lawmakers said children remain central to national growth and development.

Where the message came from was the National Assembly in Abuja, where the House addressed growing concerns over child safety.
