Factions within the Peoples Democratic Party, African Democratic Congress, Labour Party and Accord Party have rejected the Ibadan opposition meeting.

The PDP bloc backed by Nyesom Wike claimed key figures such as Atiku Abubakar, David Mark, Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso were misled into attending.

Separate ADC factions led by Kingsley Ogga and Nafiu Gombe also denied involvement, saying the party would pursue its own path.
The Labour Party, through Nenadi Usman, said its focus remains internal restructuring, while the Accord Party warned it could take legal action over unauthorised use of its identity.
The All Progressives Congress criticised the summit and accused Seyi Makinde of making comments capable of causing tension.
The ruling party said the opposition lacked unity and direction, while supporters of the meeting argued it was meant to protect democracy and encourage cooperation ahead of future elections.
