More than 8,000 staff members of the Federal Capital Territory Administration will take part in promotion examinations scheduled for this week.
The exams, which will run for five days, are fixed for Tuesday, November 25 to Saturday, November 29, 2025, at the National Open University Study Centre on Kubwa Road in Abuja.
Chairman of the FCT Civil Service Commission, Emeka Ezeh, said on Sunday that the candidates cut across 165 different cadres. He explained that the FCT Minister approved the request to conclude the 2024 promotion exercise for FCTA and FCDA workers as part of efforts to motivate staff.
Ezeh added that the exams will be conducted through a Computer-Based Test, continuing the digital system earlier introduced for promotions.
He recalled that the FCT, under Minister Nyesom Wike, became the first in the country to adopt CBT for promotion exams. He also noted that in August 2025, the minister approved the promotion of 49 directors who passed the previous CBT exercise.
