The road is expected to ease traffic flow for residents who use the Life Camp and Karmo corridor daily. It is also one of the major links meant to improve movement across the northern axis of the city.

The project is being handled by Julius Berger, which has been working on expanding the route into a six lane carriageway. Engineers on site have continued with grading, paving and structural works as the project enters its final stages.

The FCT Administration has been pushing for a fast-tracked delivery date, especially with the road becoming more important due to population growth around the area. The minister’s visit was aimed at ensuring there are no delays as the construction enters the home stretch.

The contractor is expected to hand over the completed road in January next year, marking a key addition to Abuja’s expanding infrastructure network.
