BREAKING: Sokoto Gov, Tambuwal Now In USA For NGF Meeting With Bill Gates Foundation After Fayemi Was “Technically Denied Visa”
Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State is now in the United States of America (USA) leading the Nigerian Governor’s Forum (NGF) delegation to a meeting facilitated by the Aliko Dangote Foundation in concert with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

This followed the denial of visa to Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State who was technically denied a visa by the United States Embassy.

It was reported that Fayemi was among some prominent Nigerians placed on visa ban by the United States government over their roles in electoral violence and other issues.

The conference, convened by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation ( BMGF) and Aliko Dangote Foundation (ADF) in collaboration with Nigerian Governors’ Forum ( NGF), is expected to feature interactive sessions involving both foundations’ teams, the Governors and their state level sector health leaders with key federal level sector heads in Nigeria on the link between health and human capital development.
The conference will also discuss current country performance, benchmarking local and international development indicators, and engage participants in solution-based learnings and discussions to co-create opportunities for improved health and human capital development.
