Speaking at a consultative meeting with leaders of registered political parties in Abuja, INEC Chairman, Joash Ojo Amupitan, said the portal would allow authorised party officials to upload candidates’ names, personal information and other required documents.

He urged parties to prepare their ICT teams and complete submissions before the deadline.

The INEC chairman warned that the portal is fully automated and will automatically close once the nomination window expires.

He said parties must avoid last-minute delays and ensure all necessary information is uploaded on time.

Amupitan also encouraged political parties to support the ongoing voter registration exercise by mobilising eligible Nigerians to register and collect their Permanent Voter Cards.

He added that transparent primaries, respect for electoral laws, peaceful campaigns and issue-based politics would be vital to the credibility of the 2027 elections.
