The move forms part of efforts to address the welfare of Nigerians facing challenges abroad.
The delegation is expected to engage Ethiopian authorities on possible arrangements that would allow the affected citizens to be transferred back to Nigeria.
Discussions are also expected to focus on legal and diplomatic procedures required for the repatriation process.
The development comes as the Federal Government seeks stronger cooperation with foreign countries on matters involving Nigerian citizens in detention overseas.
Officials are working to ensure that any agreement reached complies with international laws and existing bilateral understandings.
If successful, the initiative could pave the way for the return of hundreds of Nigerians from Ethiopian prisons.
It also reflects the government’s wider effort to provide support for citizens facing legal difficulties outside the country.
