The group said the development puts to rest disputes over the party’s leadership structure.
Speaking at a reception in Abuja, PDP National Secretary Samuel Anyanwu said INEC’s position confirms that the current leadership is the only one authorised to handle party affairs, including candidate nominations for future elections.
He added that court processes surrounding the party’s internal disagreements had already been concluded, insisting that the electoral commission’s recognition settles the matter.
According to him, the PDP is now united under one leadership structure ahead of the 2027 elections.
Party leaders at the event expressed optimism about rebuilding strength and attracting back former members.
They also said the leadership under Mohammed is focused on stabilising the party and improving coordination across all levels, with support linked to former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike.
