Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party gathered on Wednesday for the 86th meeting of the party’s Board of Trustees as discussions focused on rebuilding party structures and strengthening unity ahead of future political contests.

The meeting, chaired by Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, brought together senior members of the party who were urged to approach current challenges with calm judgement and a shared commitment to protecting the party’s values and stability.

Party leaders also reviewed progress made in recent internal activities, including ward and local government congresses held across the country.
They expressed optimism that the upcoming state congresses would further reinforce the party’s structures at the grassroots.
Attention was also directed at preparations for the national convention scheduled for March 29 and 30, while members welcomed the Court of Appeal ruling recognising the National Caretaker Committee.
The leadership also encouraged members nationwide to participate in the ongoing electronic registration exercise aimed at strengthening the party’s membership database.
