The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, visited Kuje Area Council on Thursday where he promised that more infrastructure projects would be delivered to the community.

The visit was organised to thank residents for their backing during the recent council elections and to acknowledge the support given to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and candidates aligned with his government.

He reminded elected officials that public office comes with responsibility to keep promises made during campaigns.

He also spoke about several road projects requested by community leaders during earlier discussions with the government.
According to him, the dualised Kuje Garage Road has already been completed and opened for use, while construction on the Airport Junction to Kuje road has resumed and may be ready for inauguration during the third anniversary of Tinubu’s administration.
Wike further revealed that work on the 16-kilometre Kuje–Gwagwalada road is progressing and could be ready for commissioning by June.
He advised the chairman-elect, Danladi Samuel Shekwolo, to stay close to residents after taking office and not lose touch with the community.
