The African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has criticised President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the turnout at the party’s campaign flag-off rally in Kaduna, describing it as an attempt to portray limited attendance as nationwide support.
In a post on his verified X account on Saturday, the human rights activist argued that the ruling party was presenting the crowd at Ranchers Bees Stadium as evidence of widespread public backing.
Sowore claimed that the stadium could accommodate about 5,000 people and alleged that supporters had been transported from different parts of the country to fill the venue.
He questioned the APC’s decision to present the gathering as a demonstration of nationwide support, arguing that attendance at a single rally did not necessarily reflect the wider public’s political preferences.
The AAC candidate also asserted that Tinubu would lose the 2027 presidential election, despite what he described as the ruling party’s attempt to stage a show of political strength.
