Okonkwo made the remarks during an interview on MIC-ON with Seun Okinbaloye, where he questioned the government’s commitment to democratic principles.

The former Nollywood actor-turned-politician also blamed the administration’s economic policies, including the removal of the petrol subsidy and the floating of the naira, for worsening hardship among Nigerians.

He argued that the country was experiencing severe levels of hunger, insecurity and poverty, and called on citizens to speak out against what he described as poor governance.

Okonkwo urged Nigerians to prepare to vote out the Tinubu administration in the 2027 general election.

At the time of the report, the Presidency had yet to respond to his allegations.
