EndSARS Protester Regains Freedom
A Nigerian man who was arrested at the age of 17 during the 2020 EndSARS protest has finally regained his freedom after spending more than five years in prison.
He was taken into custody at the height of the nationwide demonstrations against police brutality.
At the time, many young protesters were detained as security forces moved to disperse crowds during the tense period across several cities.
His case remained largely unresolved for years, drawing concern from activists and rights groups who continued to call for justice for protesters arrested during the movement.
His eventual release has revived discussions about the fate of others who were detained during the protests, with campaigners urging authorities to review similar cases and ensure fair treatment within the justice system.
