Addressing the crowd, Soludo expressed gratitude to the people of Dunukofia for their strong support during his first election in 2021, noting that the area delivered a decisive victory for him at the time. He pointed to achievements in education, healthcare, and infrastructure, noting that over 8,000 teachers have been employed since he assumed office. He also said public schools have improved dramatically, with many now winning national awards. The governor assured residents that more roads, hospitals, and community projects would follow in his next term.

The event also featured the commissioning of the new Dunukofia legislative building, where Soludo commended local leaders for supporting grassroots governance. He said his administration has revitalized the local government system, making it more responsive to community needs.

President-General of Ukpo, Cyril Ezewulu, described Soludo as a “tested leader” and vowed that Dunukofia would deliver total votes for him in the November election. He said the people are united in their decision to support APGA, promising that no other party would receive votes in the area.

The Chairman of Dunukofia LGA, Clement Ozumba, praised the governor for his infrastructure projects, including over 13 kilometers of roads and several new smart schools in the area. He said Soludo’s performance in just one term has surpassed expectations.

Other speakers, including Commissioner for Lands Prof. Offornze Amaucheazi (SAN), market women representative Mrs. Chinyere Obidi, and youth leader Joseph Okafor, commended the governor’s focus on youth empowerment, education, and rural development. They said his “One Youth, Two Skills” initiative has equipped many young people in Dunukofia with livelihood opportunities.

The occasion also featured the conferment of the chieftaincy title of Agubuzo Na Dunukofia on Chief Jim Nwabueze and a farmers’ competition where winners received cash prizes ranging from ₦200,000 to ₦500,000.
