Leaked Call Links MFM Overseer To Pastor Over Abuse Allegations

A leaked phone call has drawn fresh attention to the leadership of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) after its General Overseer, Dr. Daniel Olukoya, was allegedly heard pressuring a pastor in the United States to make his wife retract support for an alleged church abuse victim.

The recording, circulating on social media, reportedly captured Olukoya instructing Pastor Onakpoya of the MFM branch in Atlanta to confront his wife, Mrs. Tolulope Onakpoya, over claims that she had offered financial and emotional support to Yewande Roberts — a woman who has accused the church and its leader of harassment and exploitation.

The development stems from Yewande’s public acknowledgment of Mrs. Onakpoya’s kindness during her struggles, which allegedly angered church authorities. According to sources close to the couple, Olukoya demanded that the pastor and his wife publicly deny any connection with Yewande and release a video distancing themselves from her claims. The couple reportedly refused, fearing it would amount to falsehood and moral compromise.

Yewande Roberts, a widow and former MFM member, has accused the church of subjecting her to years of harassment following her husband’s death. She claimed that MFM confiscated her late husband Pastor Tope Roberts’ creative works, including music and videos, erasing all traces of his ministry from the church’s platforms. Her husband, a gospel singer who once won an MFM-organized competition, died under circumstances that she says were followed by deep mistreatment from church leaders.

Yewande has also alleged that Olukoya and other senior pastors subjected her to invasive “deliverance sessions” that she described as physically and emotionally abusive. She recounted instances of inappropriate contact and psychological manipulation, which she said continued even after she left the church.

In addition to the alleged abuse, Yewande said she was branded a witch and accused of killing her husband, a narrative that damaged her reputation and drove her into depression. She said her social media accounts were repeatedly hacked and deleted, making it difficult to defend herself publicly.

Despite years of threats and intimidation, Yewande has remained vocal about her experiences. She has continued to call for the release of her late husband’s music and intellectual property, insisting that the church must return what rightfully belongs to her family.

The leaked audio has reignited public outrage, with many demanding accountability from the MFM leadership. As the controversy deepens, neither Dr. Olukoya nor the church’s media office has issued any public statement addressing the allegations.
