Governor Siminalayi Fubara has praised members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) for their contributions to the growth and development of Rivers State.

Speaking at the NYSC permanent orientation camp in Nonwa-Gbam Tai during the swearing-in of the 2025 Batch B Stream II Corps members, the governor, represented by Dr. Azibaolanari Uzoma-Nwogu, Permanent Secretary at the Cabinet Bureau, assured that his administration would continue to support the scheme.

He urged the Corps members to fully embrace the skill acquisition training programme, stressing that self-reliance was key to contributing to the nation’s economic growth.

NYSC State Coordinator, Mr. Moses Oleghe, said the new Corps members were prepared to make meaningful contributions, while also urging them to use the service year to discover themselves and channel their energy into positive impact.
Oleghe appealed to the government to fulfil its pledge to renovate facilities at the orientation camp.
The oath of allegiance was administered by Justice Mark Chuku, representing the state’s Chief Judge. A total of 2,100 Corps members, including 910 males and 1,190 females, were sworn in.
