The Obidient Movement has clarified that Peter Obi, Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, is still consulting on the political platform he will use ahead of the 2027 elections.

In a statement signed by its National Coordinator, Dr. Tanko Yunusa, on Friday, the group responded to the ultimatum issued by the ADC coalition, stressing that Obi will not be rushed into making such a decision.

The group noted that Obi had publicly aligned with the coalition after the Anambra governorship election and extended the partnership to 2027, questioning why the earlier resolution was now being revisited.

The movement added that zoning of the presidential ticket and principal offices within the coalition must reflect equity and fairness if victory is to be achieved in 2027.
It emphasized that Obi is not desperate to be president but is focused on ensuring good governance, poverty reduction, and improvements in the economy, education, healthcare, and security.
