Kidnappers of a businessman in Ekiti State, Happiness Ajayi Okunola, have now reduced the ransom being demanded N2million.
Ajayi was abducted on Christmas day around 6pm at a bad spot on the Isan-Iludun-Ekiti road in Oye Local Government while travelling from Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, alongside his cousin, Fatile Oluwaseun.
Isan Ekiti is the hometown of the State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi.
According to a family source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, the abductors demanded N100 million on Saturday but later reduced it to N10 million yesterday afternoon.
The family source told WazobiaReporters this morning that the ransom was reduced to N2 million as at last night.
The source did not however give further details as to when the ransom will be paid to secure the release of Ajayi.
