Fayemi is using PGF DG against me, but I won’t engage in a fight with a pig – Oshiomhole

Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has denied plotting to return to the position.

He alleged that the Director-General of the Progressives Congress Forum (PGF) Salihu Lukman was foisted on the PGF as DG by the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF) Kayode Fayemi.

Oshiomhole spoke on Monday while addressing State House Correspondents after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja.

The former Edo Governor was reacting to a recent allegation Lukman that he was scheming to return as national chairman of the party.
Oshiomhole wondered why anyone would imagine he would like to ‘resit’ a class he had passed, saying only ‘an empty brain’ would suggest that he was plotting a comeback.
He however alleged the PGF DG was being used by some elements within the party, whom he described as “cowards” to attack him.
He said Lukman was allegedly foisted on the PGF as DG by the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF) Kayode Fayemi.
He, however, said he would not engage in brickbats with Lukman, saying doing so would lower his standard as a gentleman.

“He contested for Senate against Makarfi, he lost. He even contested against Governor el-Rufai during the primaries and he lost before Fayemi unilaterally appointed him the DG.
“So, if he is now the spokesman abusing me and all of that, you want to drag me to his level? No!
“A gentleman does not wrestle with a pig, if you do you will always be stained.”
I just love this oshiomole, he’s a great man,I pray you deliver Edo for APC to shame all your enemies that orchestrate your remover.
I guess you are not a fan of your governor, Fayemi of Ekiti State that is why you are blind to see the negativity in Oshiomhole’s behavior.
Now that you are saying he should win Edo State for the APC and shame those that orchestrated his removal, why don’t you see the other side of the story? Why is Oshiomhole so bend over removal of Obaseki from office? That guy is a charade and unforgivable personality.
People that have no forgiveness spirit have no business with leadership. He caused so much trouble for his party, the APC than good. Look at Zamfara, Bayelsa and the ongoing Edo State. As it stands, even if APC wins this election, there is every likelihood that the party would loose at the court, because the party didn’t have chairman as of when the primary election was held, as Oshiomhole’s removal was back dated.
As your Fayimi, I’m not holding brief for him but I’m saying the reality. I’m not from Ekiti State, but my best man that I like his kind of politics in your state is Fayose. What I’m saying here is that, I’m a supporter of fayose in Ekiti, even though I’m not from there.
Oshiomhole is only crying wolf…he should prepare for his imminent retirement.
