Bode George, Jimi Agbaje, Ladoja, Dokpesi Withdraw From PDP Chairmanship Race

Four of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), chairmanship aspirants has withdrawn from the race.

First to announce his withdrawal from the race was Chief Bode George, followed by Mr Jimi Agbaje, Chief Rashidi Ladoja and Chief Raymond Dokpesi.

George announced his decision to step down at a press conference in Abuja on Friday night, December 8.

The politician criticised the leadership of the party for not micro-zoning the office of the national chairman.

George also accused Nyesom Wike, governor of Rivers state, of abusing Yoruba people by saying the south-west has not made any meaningful contribution to the success of the PDP.

Wike is rooting for Uche Secondus, one of the eight aspirants left in the race.
