The project, delivered by the Federal Government, has improved movement for thousands of people and connected several neighbouring communities that had long struggled with poor access.
For many years, farmers, traders and students in the area faced serious challenges due to a damaged road network and an unreliable bridge.
During the rainy season, many parts of the community became difficult to reach, affecting farming activities, trade and access to education.
Community leader Muhammad Haruna said the road has brought relief to residents by making it easier to transport farm produce to markets.
He noted that lower transport costs and smoother movement are expected to improve earnings for farmers while reducing waste caused by delays in moving goods.
The new road is also expected to improve school attendance by giving students safer access to educational facilities throughout the year.
While celebrating the project, residents appealed for improved water supply and stronger protection of farmlands to support the community’s continued growth.
