Okpebholo Alleges Plot To Distract Tinubu, Blames Insecurity Sponsors

Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has alleged that some individuals are backing insecurity in parts of the country to distract President Bola Tinubu from governance.

He said the situation is being deliberately used to create tension and weaken national focus.

The governor made the claim while reacting to concerns over rising attacks and kidnappings in different regions.

He insisted that the political leadership of the country remains stable and not open to disruption through violence or intimidation.

Okpebholo said insecurity should not be linked to any attempt to change government, adding that efforts to destabilise the country will not succeed.

He maintained that the presidency is not under threat despite ongoing security challenges.

His remarks add a political dimension to the debate on insecurity, as government officials continue to face pressure to address frequent attacks across several states.
