The group said the comments raised concerns about unity within the coalition. The development has stirred fresh tension within the party.

The council accused the former vice president of showing “blind ambition” instead of leadership.

It said his remarks have worsened internal divisions at a time when the party is trying to build strength.

The group also pointed to unrest in Adamawa State as a sign of weak coordination. It added that key party figures have become unhappy over unresolved issues.

Attention was drawn to complaints by Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed and Ishaku Abbo, who were said to be dissatisfied with party processes.

The council faulted Atiku for not bringing stakeholders together to address the crisis.

It also said ongoing legal disputes linked to Nafiu Bala Gombe must be settled first. The group warned that internal conflicts could weaken the coalition’s chances.

The youth body urged leaders like Rabiu Kwankwaso, Peter Obi, Aminu Tambuwal, and Rotimi Amaechi to stay focused and avoid public disputes.

It warned that growing ambition among leaders could harm efforts to unite the party. The council said recent actions have deepened problems more than existing legal battles.

The situation leaves the coalition facing a difficult path ahead.
