Kugbo Terminal Repairs Begin After Storm – Wike

The Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, has confirmed that repairs have started on the Kugbo Bus and Taxi Terminal after it was damaged by a rainstorm in Abuja.

The incident happened on April 7 when strong winds tore off parts of the roof.

Wike said the damage was caused by a natural event beyond human control and noted that no lives were lost.

He explained that only roofing sheets were affected, while the main structure of the terminal remained intact.


The minister added that debris from the storm was blown onto the Abuja-Keffi Expressway, but repair work is already ongoing to restore the facility.

He assured that the terminal did not collapse as earlier feared.


He also disclosed that the Kugbo and Mabushi terminals, approved under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will soon begin operations under a Public-Private Partnership after clearance by the Federal Executive Council.
