Wike Dares ADC To Show Proof

The Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, has asked the African Democratic Congress to provide proof that it applied to use Eagle Square, dismissing claims that the party was blocked from the venue for its convention in Abuja.

Wike said no formal request was submitted to his office or any relevant authority, insisting the venue is open to all groups that follow due process.

He described the allegation as an attempt to gain public sympathy rather than a reflection of facts.

The party, through spokesman Bolaji Abdullahi, had earlier claimed its requests to use Eagle Square and the National Stadium Velodrome were ignored, forcing it to move the event to another venue.

Responding, the minister said other parties like the Peoples Democratic Party and All Progressives Congress followed proper procedures and were granted access.

He maintained that no group would be denied if the rules are met.
