The six-count charge centers on claims of defamation, false information, threats, and actions said to risk public unrest.
The case stems from a petition dated January 10, 2026, which accused Udoito of using her Facebook account, known as Princess God’sown Udoito, to spread content viewed as misleading and harmful. Investigators said the account has a large following and was used to circulate videos and statements targeting public officials.

Police allege that the posts accused Governor Umo Eno of illegally selling ancestral land in Eket Local Government Area and diverting funds from the transaction. Authorities say these claims were not backed by verified facts and were shared widely online.
Further findings showed that some of the content allegedly included threats and references to spiritual forces, which police said could stir fear and tension in Eket and Esit Eket areas.

The command believes the posts had the potential to disturb public order and create panic among residents.
Udoito pleaded not guilty to all charges and has been remanded in correctional custody. Police say the case will follow due process, while urging the public to use social media responsibly and confirm information before sharing, warning that misuse of online platforms can carry legal consequences.
