AAU Protesters Freed After Ekpoma Arrests

Students of Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma who were arrested during a protest over rising insecurity in the university town have regained their freedom.

The release was confirmed on Thursday by officials of the Edo State government.
The students were taken into custody after a demonstration in Ekpoma that drew attention to repeated reports of attacks and safety concerns affecting residents and students.
