The police stressed that the message in the video was designed to mislead the public and create unnecessary tension. According to the command, there is no credible intelligence suggesting an attack on Ekiti State University, Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, or any other institution.

As a precaution, the Commissioner of Police ordered more officers to be deployed to border towns, schools and worship centres across the state. Security personnel have also been stationed at soft targets and high-risk areas to prevent any possible danger.

The command assured residents that safety measures are already in place and urged the public to remain calm. It called for cooperation with security agencies and encouraged timely reporting of suspicious activity.

Police authorities maintained that the rumours were baseless and reminded the public to verify information before sharing it, especially during periods of heightened concern.
