The party said the move has no legal backing and should be ignored.

The controversy began after a factional chairman, Raji Zumo, announced the suspension of the two politicians and others, citing alleged disunity and disregard for a court order.

The claim quickly sparked reactions within the party.

Responding, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, dismissed the action and questioned the authority of those behind it.

He insisted that they lack the power to take such decisions on behalf of the party.

The ADC maintained that the announcement carries no weight and does not reflect the position of its leadership.

The development adds to ongoing internal tensions within the party.
