Atiku also expressed sympathy to families affected by recent killings and urged stronger coordination from government authorities to restore public confidence.

He said protecting lives and property should remain the top priority of any administration facing insecurity challenges.

In the same statement, he acknowledged the support of the United States in global counterterrorism efforts.

He also praised international cooperation in addressing insecurity, noting that partnerships remain important in tackling violent groups operating across regions.

His comments come amid continued attacks on security forces in parts of the country, including a recent deadly assault in Borno State that claimed the lives of soldiers, among them senior officers.

The incident has further renewed debate on Nigeria’s security situation.
