The attackers allegedly vandalised signages placed on the building, including large billboards and campaign banners belonging to the party.

The NDC House of Representatives candidate for Ikwerre/Emohua Federal Constituency, Fugbara Ohaka, confirmed the incident and condemned the attack.

Ohaka appealed to party members and supporters to remain calm and avoid any action that could lead to further tension or violence.

He said political disagreements should not result in intimidation, destruction of property or attacks on political opponents, urging all parties to maintain peace as preparations for the 2027 general elections continue.

The candidate also called on security agencies to investigate the incident and identify those responsible for the damage.

He said anyone found to have participated in the attack should be prosecuted according to the law.

Ohaka maintained that political campaigns should focus on ideas, development, public service and the welfare of citizens rather than violence.

He further urged political actors and their supporters to tolerate opposing views, noting that elections are temporary while communities and relationships remain after the polls.

He reaffirmed the NDC’s commitment to conducting a peaceful and issue-based campaign and called for continued peace in Emohua, Ikwerre, Rivers State and the country.

No individual or group was identified in the report as being responsible for the alleged attack.
