It said there has been a rise in alleged abuses since the #EndSARS protests, claiming that officers are arresting citizens without cause and demanding money for bail.

The AAC argued that residents should not be afraid of security agents meant to protect them and insisted that policing must follow the Constitution.

The party maintained that while most people in the state obey the law, the police must avoid enforcing illegal practices.

It cautioned that continued misconduct could provoke resistance from the public and urged the Commissioner of Police to refocus officers on their core duties.

The AAC also warned against any repeat of “TIGER BASE” in the state and called on Divisional Police Officers to properly supervise their personnel.

It encouraged victims of alleged harassment to report incidents to the party or the Oyo State Take It Back movement.
