Kolawole spoke on Saturday in Ado Ekiti during the party’s state congress, where delegates elected Lanre Omolase as chairman.

Omolase is known to be an ally of former Ekiti governor Ayodele Fayose.

Kolawole acknowledged that the party had faced internal challenges in recent times but expressed confidence that ongoing consultations among national leaders and stakeholders would help rebuild the PDP and restore members’ confidence.

He urged the newly elected executives to remain loyal to the party, respect its leaders and work together to strengthen the party’s position in Ekiti.

Speaking after his emergence, Omolase called for unity among party members and pledged to lead with fairness and commitment.

He assured supporters that the PDP would recover its strength and regain lost ground in the state.
