The ruling followed a case filed by Funsho Ayeni, a governorship aspirant, who challenged the exercise on the ground that the party failed to present the original list of statutory and ad hoc delegates used for the primary.
The court found that the absence of the authentic delegates list breached the Electoral Act and the party’s guidelines, making the primary invalid under the law.
