Thousands of resident doctors across Nigeria are still waiting for salary arrears under the administration of President Bola Tinubu, despite official claims that the payments have been settled.

The affected doctors are members of the National Association of Resident Doctors working in federal hospitals.
The association disclosed that over 2,000 doctors have not received seven months of arrears linked to the 25–35 per cent CONMESS salary adjustment.

This development comes as the National Industrial Court ordered the doctors to suspend a planned strike. Still, the association insists its members remain resolute, warning that unpaid salaries, exhaustion, and poor working conditions continue to affect both doctors and patients across the country.
