Wale Oriade, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, has regained his freedom after spending 39 days in captivity.

His release was confirmed on Saturday in Ibadan, bringing relief to party members and residents who had followed the case closely.
The confirmation came from the state APC leadership, which said Oriade was freed after weeks of uncertainty.
