The Deputy Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Muhammad Sama’ila Bagudo, who was abducted by gunmen on October 31, 2025, has been released.

The Kebbi State Police Command confirmed his freedom in a statement issued on Sunday by its spokesperson, CSP Nafiu Abubakar. He said the lawmaker had reunited with his family after receiving medical attention and was in stable condition.
