2027 Poll Victory Uncertain For APC Under Yilwatda Warns Ayodele

Primate Elijah Ayodele of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church has warned that the All Progressives Congress (APC) could face challenges winning the 2027 general elections if Nentawe Yilwatda remains unsupported as the party’s national chairman.

In a statement shared by his media aide, Ayodele said that while Yilwatda is known for his intelligence and strategic thinking, these traits alone may not be enough to lead the APC to victory. He stressed that the new chairman would need a strong and capable team around him to successfully guide the party through the complex political terrain ahead.

Ayodele noted that one of the biggest hurdles Yilwatda may face is connecting with grassroots supporters. He described the chairman as someone likely to focus more on elite interests, which, according to him, could weaken the party’s base. Without a solid structure that engages ordinary citizens, he said APC’s chances at the polls could be in jeopardy.

He also expressed concerns about the level of preparation within the party. According to Ayodele, winning in 2027 will require more than just traditional campaigning. He urged the APC to double its efforts, especially at the local level, warning that a failure to build widespread support may leave the party exposed.

Looking ahead to the next general election, Ayodele described it as a turning point for Nigeria. He said the outcome would shape the country’s unity and political stability. For this reason, he believes the APC leadership must be spiritually grounded, strategically alert, and ready to tackle internal and external pressures that may arise before and during the campaign period.

The cleric concluded by urging the APC to take the warning seriously, saying that without urgent action, the party could struggle in what he described as a highly competitive and unpredictable election.
