Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s condolence visit to the family of the late business mogul, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, calling it a powerful show of compassion and statesmanship.

Tinubu visited Kano on Friday to personally condole with the Dantata family following the death of the elder statesman and philanthropist.

In a statement by his spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Governor Yusuf said the President’s presence brought comfort to the grieving family and the people of Kano. He also acknowledged Tinubu’s earlier support, which included sending a federal delegation to Dantata’s burial in Madina, Saudi Arabia.

The late Dantata’s eldest son, Alhaji Tajudeen Aminu Dantata, also thanked the President for standing by the family and spoke of his father’s close ties with Tinubu.
In his remarks, Tinubu described the late Dantata as a symbol of humility, integrity, and service. “We have lost a conscience of the nation,” he said, praying for Allah to grant him Aljannah Firdaus.
