Terrorists have abducted students of the Federal College of Forestry Mechanism in Mando area of Kaduna.
According to the BBC, a witness said half of the female students were taken but not a single male was abducted in the early morning operation.
Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, has confirmed the incident, saying investigation is ongoing.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige confirmed the incident to reporters.
Jalige noted that the exact number of victims kidnapped on Thursday night is currently unknown.
“They were abducted last night but we have no details of the number of students and I can’t say if they are all female.
“We are currently working with the Nigerian Army to trace the kidnappers and rescue the students,” he said.
