Olayinka said the minister had no relationship with the Labour Party or any of its candidates in Adamawa State.

The viral post had quoted Wike as urging Adamawa residents to make informed decisions at the ballot, adding that he considered Abbo the most suitable candidate to lead the state.

However, the minister denied making the statement, insisting that he had not endorsed Abbo or any other Labour Party candidate.

Wike urged the people of Adamawa State to disregard the post, adding that he would personally announce his preferred candidate whenever he decided to declare his support.
