Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has carried out a minor cabinet reshuffle involving the redeployment of four commissioners to different ministries.
The latest changes mark the second minor cabinet reshuffle undertaken by the governor since he assumed office.
The Secretary to the Edo State Government, Musa Ikhilor, announced the changes in a statement on Saturday, explaining that the redeployments were aimed at strengthening governance, improving service delivery and increasing efficiency in the administration of the state.
Under the new arrangement, Felix Ehiguese Akhabue has been moved from the Ministry of Water Resources to the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.
Barrister Vincent Osas Uwadiae, who previously headed the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, has been redeployed to the Ministry of Water Resources.
Andrew Momodu has also been transferred from the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy to the Ministry of Oil and Gas Resources.
Prof. Omorodion Ikponmwosa, who previously served as Commissioner for Oil and Gas Resources, has been moved to the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy.
The Secretary to the State Government said the redeployments took effect immediately.
The affected commissioners are expected to apply their experience and expertise to their new responsibilities while continuing to support the administration’s SHINE Agenda for the development of Edo State.
