Natasha Calls For Peace At Kogi PDP

In Lokoja, Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan urged leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party to mend internal divisions and welcome back former members.

She spoke on Saturday during a State Executive Committee meeting. The call comes as political parties begin early moves ahead of the 2027 elections.

Her message focused on rebuilding strength through unity.
At the meeting, she asked party leaders to reconnect with aggrieved members and create space for those willing to return.

She said a united front would give the party a better chance in future contests. She also advised leaders to promote inclusiveness across all levels. The aim is to restore trust within the party.

The lawmaker encouraged members to take part in the ongoing membership e-registration exercise. She described it as an important step in strengthening the party’s structure.

She also urged supporters to mobilise others to join. A stronger membership base, she said, would improve the party’s readiness.

She made the call at the PDP State Executive Committee meeting held in Lokoja, stressing that unity remains critical to the party’s chances ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Akpoti-Uduaghan said strengthening the party’s base through reconciliation and inclusivity would position it competitively in future elections.

Akpoti-Uduaghan further reaffirmed her commitment to the growth of the PDP in Kogi State, highlighting her long-standing advocacy for grassroots mobilisation, youth inclusion and women’s participation in politics.
